South Koreans head to North to broker possible US talks

A South Korean delegation will visit North Korea for rare talks aimed at re-starting dialogue between Pyongyang and the US. It is not known if they will meet North Korean leader Kim Jong-un during the visit. Relations between the Koreas have warmed following the Winter Olympics. Both North Korea and the United States have expressed willingness to talk, but US President Donald Trump demands, North Korea “de-nuke” first.
The North, which has vowed never to give up its nuclear deterrent against US hostility, says it will not sit down to talks under pre-conditions.
