Pakistan whitewashed the ODI series against Sri Lanka.

Usman Khan picked up five wickets to rattle Sri Lanka in the fifth ODI in Sharjah as Pakistan completed a clean-sweep against Sri Lanka. With a target of 104, Pakistan openers Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman forged an 84-run opening wicket partnership to help Pakistan secure their second whitewash against Sri Lanka. Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, only Thisara Perera, Lahiri Thirimanne, Seekuge Prasanna and Dushmantha Chameera managed to reach double figures. Usman finished with 5/34 as the visitors failed to recover from early jolts. Sri Lanka’s total (103) is their second lowest total in an ODI against Pakistan. Their lowest total of 78 had also come at Sharjah in 2002. The ODI series will be followed by a three-match T20 series with the last match to be played in Lahore on October 29.
