Former president has taken large amount of funds from Chinese company for his presidential election campaign. It is stressed that an investigation should be conducted in this regard.

Civil activists and artists stress that Hitler type rule is not suitable to the country. Co-convener of the Purawesi Balaya organization Gamini viyangoda said that Gotabaya Rajapaksha has been clearly proved a dictator by his actions and behaviour.
Ven. Dambara Amila thero said tht a presidential commission should be appointed to investigate this matter.
Veteren singer Jayatilaka Bandara says that Hitler type leaders are not suitable to a peace loving country like Sri lanka.
In the meantime, it is revealed by a New York Times newspaper that the former president has taken large amount of funds from Chinese company for his presidential election campaign. An investigation should be conducted in this regard. Ven. Dambara Amila thera speaking to the media stated a presidential commission should be appointed to investigate this matter.
Joining the media conference, convener of Left Centre Chameera Perera alleged as a Defence Secretary, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa acted like an authoritarian during the Rajapaksa regime.
Meanwhile, the artistes point out that this country does not need any military rule. A society which is marching forward by defeating the brutality and inhumanity will never approve a military rule in this country. Recently, the Sri Lanka's human rights records has been appraised by the international community has upgraded to 'A' Grade. This is a great victory to the country. Given this situation all Sri Lankans will never approve an authoritarian rule in this country. Popular singer Jayathilaka Bandara made these remarks while speaking to SLBC.
