The President calls on all to fulfill the responsibility collectively to ensure a better country for the youth



The Yovun Puraya - 2018 in Nikeweratiya that was attended by more than 7,000 youths ended today after four days of programmes. President Maithripala Sirisena was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. He said on the occasion that everybody has the responsibility and obligation to work as one for the betterment of the youths and children. The President stressed the need for all political leaders and organizations to work under a common agenda for the sake of the country.

Also addressing the ceremony, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe said the government remains committed to safeguard the future of the young generation.

Minister Sagala Ratnayaka told the event that there was a collective responsibility to bring the youths on the correct path. He stressed the need to set aside political differences and work for the benefit of the youths.
