Debate on two reports of Bond commission and the commission appointed to investigate serious acts of frauds to be held on 08th of next month

 

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that the Parliament will be convened on February 8 to debate on the reports of the Bond commission and the commission appointed to investigate serious acts of fraud. He said this decision has been taken due to Ministers engaged in local government polls propaganda activities. He made this statement at a UNP rally held in Deniyaya in Morawaka today. The election propagation activities are to be end on the 7th. The reports on Bond commission debated or not in the Parliament are the major topic in the country currently.

The agreement has been reached to be held this debate on the 19th of next month. Meanwhile, Leader of the JVP MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that he has made a request from the Speaker of Parliament to convene a party leaders meeting to finalize a date to conduct the debate on the reports of the Bond commission and the commission appointed to investigate serious acts of fraud.


Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe stated that there is no any fact mentioned in the report against the UNP or him. Necessary advice has already been given to Attorney General to take legal action against culprits. He said there is nothing to hide for him and ready to give opportunities for many days debate in Parliament. The party leaders can decide on the dates.
