The Japanese delegation representing its two major Chambers in commerce and industries, meets the President and the Prime Minister.

The Japanese delegation representing two Chambers, met with President Maithripala Sirisena, at the Presidential Secretariat, this morning. The delegation comprises 71 members of two Chambers, which have a history in trade, for over 140 years. They are namely, the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industries and the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

Dr Akio Mimura who heads the delegation stated that the Japanese government is seeking investment opportunities in the fields of industries, infrastructure, transport and aviation and even computer software. They presented a set of proposals covering these fields, to the President. The delegation also met with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, at Temple Trees today.
