Chief of the staff of Nepal army meets the President.

Visiting chief of staff of the Nepal Army general Rajendra Chetri met President Maithripala Sirisena this morning at the President's palace.   They discussed the matters relating to using army personnel and resources for disaster management activities and relief services.  General Chetri thanked the president for the immediate relief services rendered by Sri Lanka army at the recent earthquake disaster in Nepal.  He said that Sri Lanka army showed exemplary skills in achieving relief services. 

The President said that Sri Lanka will  work hard to further strengthen long term cultural, religious and social relations between the two countries.  The President pledged to provide Sri Lanka army's expertise knowledge and training to Nepal military forces. The two countries also agreed to take  collective efforts against drugs smuggling.
