Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe says certain politically bankrupted parties are in attempt to disrupt the government's march by making various statements.

Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe says he strongly condemns the statements made by certain persons disrupting the measures taken by the government to create political and social stability in the country. Commenting on the statement made in the parliament regarding a military coup the minister pointed out certain persons are making such statements to obtain petty political gains as they are politically bankrupt. Addressing a media briefing held in Colombo today Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe said such statements that insults Sri Lankan army which is recognized as a professional army cannot be approved by any mean. It is the army that saved the country from the terrorism. The government always commends the service rendered by them. The President is committed to provide every facility for the war heroes. The minister pointed out although a certain group attempted to fulfill their political objectives by misleading disabled military personnel the government has already addressed their issues.
