The Belgian premier says his government will be committed to rejuvenate bilateral ties with Sri Lanka.

 

Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel says his government will be committed to rejuvenate bilateral ties with Sri Lanka. He added that the ties were weaken in the recent past. The Belgian Premier made these comments when he met Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe yesterday. He also noted that present government's journey equipped with the values like human rights, social equality and democracy is commendable.

Appropriation Bill 2017 presented to the parliament

 

Minister Ravi Karunanayake has presented the appropriation bill for the year 2017 to the parliament which outlines the government's estimated expenditure for the year. A sum of more than 1819 billion rupees is estimated in this regard.
