Minister Bandula Gunawardena has assured that no room will be left for any injustice to happen to the children through the Advanced Level Examination results. He said that what has happened is a situation created by certain groups to achieve their political objectives. No mistakes have been done in the Z-scores. The Minister told the SLBC that the mistake happened relating to the district rankings has been rectified. He said that if the future of the children were decided without any problem the political conspirators will have no basis to make their agitations. He pointed out that when the results were being evaluated these political groups attempted to prevent the teachers from attending to that work. The Minister reminded that he even made an appeal through the national radio requesting these groups not to destroy the future of the children. He said that upon this appeal some teachers volunteered to evaluate the papers even without expecting any payment. Due to the setback they confronted on this matter the Minister said that these groups are now attempting to create problems relating to the results. The Minister made an appeal that if any student feels that an injustice has been caused to him or her to inform him personally about it. He said that he is prepared to look into such problems if the appeal was presented with the index number and other details. The Minister emphasised that the President and the government constantly stand for protecting the rights of the students.
