President pledges relief for the families of Samanera thero’s who enter the Buddha Sasana from rural areas. PDF Print E-mail

President Mahinda Rajapaksa says the government has decided to construct houses for the welfare of families of Samanera thero’s who enter the Buddha Sasana from rural areas. The President disclosed this when he paid a courtesy call on Chief Incumbent of the Mirisawetiya in Anuradhapura Venerable Eethala-wetunu-wewe Gnanathilaka Thero. 
The Thero acknowledged the measures taken by the President to renovate all roads in the Anuradhapura district parallel to the Deyata Kirula development exhibition that is scheduled to be held next year. 
 
The President who arrived in Anuradhapura also worshiped the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya and obtained blessings from the Maha sanga including Chief Incumbent of the Atamasthana, Venerable Pallegama Siriniwasa Thero. He instructed the Director General of Telecommunication Regulatory Commission Anusha Pelpita to renovate the lightning resister system that was set up in 2005. President Rajapaksa paid a courtesy call on Chief Incumbent of Ruwanweli Maha Seya Venerable Pallegama Hemarathna Thero as well.
 
Furthermore, he also declared open the Dansala that has been organized by the S. M. Chandrasena foundation in connection with the 1st year completion of President’s second term in office.
