The Presidential Secretariat rejects accusations made by certain media that public property is misused for presidential election activities. In a press release the secretariat says state property is not used for propaganda activities of President Mahinda Rajapakse.
Funds for recent functions at Temple Trees were drawn from the election fund of the president’s political party and voluntary donations. The presidential secretariat requests individuals and institutions to refrain from making baseless allegations without investigating into details. |
