Zoological garden in Dehiwela to be kept opened during night hours shortly.

A part of the Dehiwela Zoological garden will be opened for the public specially for tourists from 9th September onwards. From that day from 7 O'clock in the night to 10 O'clock the zoo will be opened according to Director General Dammika Malsingha. Initially the segment of the animals who are roaming during night will be exhibited. All the members of the cats family will also be exhibited. Vehicles will be provided to visit through internal roads. A new restaurant is to be provided. This plan is undertaken because the authorities of the zoological garden believes more tourists would visit the garden during night. By this process more income is also expected to be generated to cover expenses.
