The General Manager of Railways B.P.A.Ariyarate said that for the convenience of the public visiting the Deyata Kirula National Exhibition the Railways Department has arranged special train services.  He said special train services will leave Colombo Fort at 7.30 am and 11.45 am and from Mahawa railway station from 9.30 am and 12.10 pm on the days the exhibition will be held. There will also be train services leaving Vavuniya at 01.11 am and 01.06 pm. Trains from Omanthai will leave at 1.35 am and 01.37 pm. The return trains will leave Anuradhapura 12.30 am, 5.45 pm and 8.10 pm to Colombo Fort. In addition to this trains to Mahawa will leave Anuradhapura at 8.20 am and 7.40 pm. Trains to Omanthai will leave at 11.30 am and 03.26 pm. He said that additional carriages have also been added to the normally operated trains. In the exhibition premises a train with two carriages will be operated between Oyamaduwa and Alayapathuwa. He said a substation at Malingamuwa has been constructed on this route.
