Former MP Sajin Waas Gunawardhana summoned before the FCID this morning.

Former MP Sajin Waas Gunawardhana arrived at the FCID this morning. The FCID states, that he was summoned to obtain a statement with regard to the sale of two buses through a private company incurring a loss of 30 million to the government , while he was an executive officer at Mihin Lanka.

Meanwhile, the website of The Sri Lanka Mirror carried the news that two MPs representing the joint opposition will be summoned before the FCID. Thereby MP Prasanna Ranatunga is due to provide a statement tomorrow, regarding deposits made to an account at Pan Asia Bank. A case with regard to this has been filed at the Mahara magistrate court.
MP – S.M.Chandrasena will be summoned on Thursday, to obtain a statement with regard to the assets and liabilities that are being investigated. This is in relevance to a case filed at the Anuradhapura magistrate court.
