The Asian Tribune website reports that Mr. Danuka Thilakaratne, who is the son-in-law of Mr. Sarath Fonseka has disappeared. He is wanted by the Police in connection with an illegal arms transaction. The police have commenced operations looking for him. The website further says that all charges against him have proven by his absconding from police investigations.
The police have notified him on the first of this month to come for an investigation. However, he has entered a private hospital in Colombo on this day, informing the police that he is indisposed. The website further says that however he left the hospital on the same day. Mr. Thilakaratne has declined another notification issued by the Department of Criminal Investigation for him to appear before an investigation yesterday. |
