Minister Keheliya Rambukwella says that it is certain that the United People’s Freedom Alliance under the leadership of President Mahinda Rajapakse will receive a two thirds majority at a future parliamentary election.  The people are lining up from now on to hand over this victory to the alliance.  The people have extreme confidence on the President. This has been amply reflected by the enormous vote he received at the recent presidential election.  The 40 year political experience and an understanding gained through four years of state administration, have enabled him to achieve this victory.   There have been foreign influences since inception of the programme to defeat terrorism.  There has been an impact even from unexpected countries.  Minister Rambukwella adds that  the President, unflinched by the threats from so called powerful countries even at the last moment of the programme to defeat terrorism,  amazed  the whole world through this victory. The International forces friendly to the LTTE organisation thereafter,  attempted to defeat the President at the Presidential election. These forces have handed over large sums of the money to the opposition to achieve their objectives. The foreign forces were very pleased when Mr. R. Sambandan joined with Mr. Sarath Fonseka. Their objective was to reverse all war victories achieved by the country by using Mr. Fonseka.  Minister Rambukwella  further said that the opposition alliance is unable to accept defeat due to their lack of political experience and immaturity.  He points out that what they should do now is to acknowledge defeat and to plan their future political activities.
