President Mahinda Rajapaksa observes that all Sri Lankans have received the opportunity to select a head of state of their choice. This is especially significant for the northern and eastern Tamil people who were deprived of their democratic right due to three decades of terrorism. The President stated this at a meeting at Temple Trees this morning with heads of media institutions.
