 The Ministry of Health Care and Nutrition has decided to immediately import an injection called “ Novel A HINI 2009” ,which has been approved by the World Health Organization, to treat patients.
Cases of 258 patients of the new Influenza disease have been reported from many parts of the island. Five deaths have been reported. The minister of Health believes that there could be many persons inflicted with the viral disease throughout the country. The Ministry has also decided to utilize two varieties of bacteria imported from Cuba to treat the diseases Leptros Pyrosis and Dengue . The Cuban Ambassador in Sri Lanka who met the Minister of Health recently has requested to use the BTI Bacteria to confront the mosquitoes spreading the Dengue disease and the Biorat Bacteria to control Leptros Pyrosis . |
